3 MOVING JOURNAL PROMPTS TO FINISH YOUR 2020 UP RIGHT

Time to reflect.

The end of the 2020 is creeping ever closer.

To me, December is always an extremely reflective time. I don't even try, but it is (repeatedly) a more introspective month. Whenever it comes back around.

But sometimes so much has happened since January 1st that it is hard to know where to focus. It's tricky to figure out how to start looking back, when so much has ended (or begun).

Are you tempted to take stock of the year gone past? Or are you ready to leave 2020 in the very distant past?

Here are some journal prompts I'll be using to reflect on the last 365 days (or something like that):

  1. What were some difficult decisions you made that have helped you grow into who you are now? Would you have done anything differently?

  2. List the top 10 most worthwhile things you did in 2020. What did you learn about yourself in the process?

  3. What is something you did this year that you will remember for the rest of your life?

If you have any others, I'd love to hear them and share them with the rest of The Fig community.

This week’s recs

My favourite weekly newsletter by the singer Nick Cave. Stunning words on all sorts. Will be back in the new year and I can't wait for its return to my inbox. In the meantime, you can read his previous musings online in the archives. Issue #128 is a fave.

The Red Hand Files

Forgiveness is something we all need to learn to give ourselves. The most stunning book of poetry I've read all year, helps us to learn just this. A special rec from a very special friend of mine.

Moshe Topol

A work diary? One can never have enough journals, in my opinion.

The Good Trade

Decolonializing Therapy through online Wellness Workshops for the masses. With accessible, inclusive pricing. We love to see it.

Dive In Well

A window into the homes of people from all across the world. I keep an eye out for any in Melbourne or London, hoping I might see a view I recognize from one of these two cities I've called home.
