A MOMENT TO PAUSE

We need rest. Take it.

pausing

Sometimes we need to press pause.

We need a break from our daily schedule, our online presence, from work, from play, our skincare routine. Even our sacred practices.

I don't know about you, but I often struggle with allowing myself to take the pauses I need. Whether it is expectations from others (I've created those in my head), or pressure from myself to plow on, I tend to fight through, resisting the desire to rest.

Lately, I've learned that taking this rest, taking a pause is so essential for my mind and body and soul. A rest to allow me to recharge and regroup. Which means when I am ready, I can pick things right back up where I left them and carry on stronger.

Recently, I allowed myself the pause I needed. I am better off for it.

Because now I can be here, fully present and ready to share the fruits of this sacred time of rest. To offer my experiences, my story, for you all to benefit from, too.

We shouldn't need permission to rest, but sometimes we do. So here it is.

I am offering you permission to pause.

This week’s recs

New hobbies to get the creative juices flowing. #3 is such a winner. Time away from the screen + old white t-shirts reinvented = endless amounts of joy (and a win for sustainable fashion!)

The Good Trade

I took an inner child / re-parenting workshop online this week with Janet and my mind is 🤯 Permission to dance around my room to the songs of my childhood? Yes please.

Finding royalty free yoga imagery that is diverse, inclusive and not already used by every wellness social media account out there is pretty tricky. Until now:

Transitioning to full time WFH has been more of a struggle than I expected. I took a few of these tests to learn how to adapt my existing habits and work-styles to my new environment. And it worked!
