ADVICE FROM A FRIEND

The power of tarot + a dose of coincidence.

'FRIENDSHIP:

I am deeply grateful for the gift of friends.

My appreciation for them is endless.'

I pulled this card today when I was feeling a little flat during a lockdown lull.

I was ruminating on what I needed to focus on, to improve my start to the week.

I drew this card and smiled, just as a text popped up on my phone beside me.

It was from a dear friend, encouraging me to take a walk and to look after myself. That she'd love to have a call one lunchtime this week and that she is always there.

If that ‘coincidence’ is not a reminder of the power of friendship, I don't know what is.

Today, I must remember to be thankful for these people in my life. I must hold them in my heart and acknowledge that they are always there to lend a hand. I must appreciate them for all that they are and all that they do and allow myself to lean into friendship - because that's what it is there for.

And that's what I'm here for too, dear friend.

‘It makes total sense to be still and “go within” right now. I’m seeing lots of calls to action on social media to do so and I couldn’t agree more. However, if you're anxious, being still and with your thoughts or breath may just trigger more anxiety. I’ve had anxiety all my life. This is a trying time for all of us. So here are two tools to help quiet your mind and “go within.”'
